“His faithfulness will be your shield ”
(Psalm 91:4 NIV) 'He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.'
Scripture Thoughts:
The enemy has schemes and strategies to try to keep you from your destiny. The enemy uses adversity, people, sickness, and bad breaks to cause issues in our lives. His goal is to set you up for failure and see if you take the bait, which he will use to disrupt your life. But when you make the Lord your God, when you stay under the shelter of the Most High, the Scripture says He covers you with His wings. He’ll hide you from things that could have brought you down and you didn’t even know it. You’re not at risk. You’re not open game for whatever the enemy wants to do. The Lord may allow you to be tested but not overcome by the testing. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV, it is written, (No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.) You need to know that the Lord has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. God has you covered!
The day of trouble will come, and when it does you need to know nothing is too great for our God. The trial and adversity before you will NOT overtake the man and woman who puts their trust in the Lord. In Proverbs 3:5-6 it is written, (5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.) You must believe that sickness can’t finish you off, that accident can’t take you out, and that layoff can’t stop your purpose. The adversity before you is not how your story ends. God has the final say. He’s not only going to take care of what’s trying to stop you, but He’s going to bring you out better.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that You have a secret place, a safe place, where I can dwell, covered with Your feathers, under Your wings, and abiding in peace. Thank You that You control what trouble comes my way. I believe that You have the final say. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
